[ Points In Time Series ] [ Lure ] [ Possession ] [ Tightening Circles ] [ Sleeping
with the Enemy]
This, totally brilliant, British Vampire series, wowed me
when it was first broadcast on Channel Four back in the Autumn of 1999. I fell
in love with the story, the cast - particularly moody, broody and gorgeous Michael Colefield - everything. This was modern day vampires and their hunters.
No gothic Nancy boys, or mini skirted slayers, but vampires that could not be
recorded by anything other than the human eye making 'surveillance a bitch'
(Vaughan). The plots were brilliant, the acting excellent, the writing superb
and the ambience dark, gloomy, tight, taut and fast. In a typical British
fashion the first brilliant series was the last! A DVD, giving six marvellous
hours of sublime story telling by Joe Ahearne, the only thing left. Check
the Ultraviolet Official Home Page
to read more about it. This series
led me into writing fan fiction. I wanted to read more, particularly about
Michael and his relationship with Jack, but could find little or
nothing to read. It was also my first introduction to
slash and, after an
initial shock, I fell into it with abandon. If slash is not your cup of tea, the
Points in Time Series is mostly rated PG, and by avoiding Part 3, and
probably Part 4, can be read without flinching. <grin>
The stories below were written for adults.
Pairing(s): Michael/Jack, Pearce/Ofc
Genre: some slash and het, drama, action/adventure
Warnings: Part 3, coerced consent
Spoilers: none
Summary: Eight separate stories, all inter linked, but spaced over time.
Parts 2 and 3 happen over a period of twenty-four hours, the others over weeks
and months.
Word Count: 16,624
Date: Summer/Autumn 00
A/N: This was my first piece
of fan fiction. I sent it, in a different order, to a UV mailing list over the
autumn of 2000. At the beginning of 2001, having learnt more about writing fan
fiction, I took it out, dusted it up, rechecked the grammar and
punctuation and posted it to BritSlash. I never had a beta, but I must have
reread the thing 100's of times. I can see errors now but on the whole I'm
really pleased with this. I like it all, but Aftermath and it's reflection on Pearse is perhaps the best part. I regret that I mentioned Angie so little but
I made up for that in another story.
This can also be read as eight separate stories. If slash is not your thing,
avoid Part 3.
Part 1 The Visit Jack visits Michael at home.
2,155

Reflections Vaughan reflects, Jack acts.
1,860
Part 3 The Prisoner Jack gets what he wants. M/J Slash. 2,852
Part 4 Elucidation Michael discovers his fate. M/J
innuendo. 2,608
Part 5 Regrets The Squad discover what happened to
Michael. 1,552
Part 6
The Attack Vaughan cannot believe the evidence of
his eyes. 1,558
Part 7

destruction. 2,857
Part 8
Ambiguity
A resolution, of a kind. 1,231
Pairing(s): Michael/Jack
Genre: slash first time, drama
Warnings: none
Spoilers: none
Summary: Jack's reappearance, courtesy of Michael, gives the Code V's the
lever they've always wanted to infiltrate the Squad. Jack, however, has
alternate plans
Word Count: 9, 413
Date: July 01
A/N: This is not one of my best
stories. The punctuation make me cringe, but it's okay. I
did a little experiment, Jack's parts were in first person point of view, while Michael's
were in third person point of view. It seemed to work. This is really a PWP?
Pairing(s): Michael/Jack
Genre: slash first time, action/adventure, drama
Warnings: none
Spoilers: none
Summary: Michael becomes a pawn in Jack's plotting and subterfuge.
Word Count: 10,848
Date: August 01
A/N: Better than Lure, but only by a little, and with a plot.
Pairing(s): Michael/Jack, Michael/ofc
Genre: slash first time, drama, hurt/comfort
Warnings: none
Spoilers: none
Summary: Michael feels entrapped by his loneliness, dislike for his job, another's plans
for him, and the ever present threat of the Code V's. He plans his escape, but
things never seem to go right for him.
Word Count: 30,812
Date: November 01
A/N: By this time, I had found a beta, who fortunately also liked
Stargate and the X-Files. David read this, made excellent comments and really
helped me tighten this up, no pun intended. I like this. It has a strong plot,
holds together and the ending is 'just right'. See what you think.
Pairing(s): Mulder/Krycek, Michael/Jack
Genre: Slash first time, crossover with X-Files, drama,
Warnings: none
Spoilers: none
Summary: Someone from England wants to make use of Mulder, and the Consortium want to
know why.
Word Count: 20,865
Date: December 02
A/N: This is more an X-Files story than an UV one and is is based mainly in Mulder's POV.
I think the two universes work well together. I love UV
and Michael and Jack, but was failing to come up with anything original hence
this! Sarah fitted me
in to her extremely busy work and study schedule, and gave me her usual great
beta. David commented that one part of the guy's conversation sounded like ''a cocktail party of nelly queens!" so I did a quick rewrite.
:-P, and Boltonia bravely took on the Americanizer role despite not
knowing anything about UV. Thanks to you all.
Note: This has now turned into a series, but the second part
can hardly be termed an Ultraviolet crossover as the action now takes place in
America with American Code V's, and is focused entirely on Mulder and Krycek. Go
here if you want to read further.
Disclaimers: The characters Jack, Michael, Pearse, Vaughan, Angie etc.
from 'Ultraviolet' belong to Channel 4/World Productions and the wonderful
writer, Joe Ahearne. I am just taking them out to play
with, and will return them as found. No copyright
infringement is intended, and and no profit is being made from their use.
Original characters belong to me, although some of them are so nasty I'm not too
sure I want to keep them. *g*
