Thousand Beautiful Things by Duinn Fionn. Draco Malfoy
struggles with changed fortunes, shifting alliances, an ugly war, and an
unusual spell, with the help of a concerned professor, an insightful
house-elf, and an unexpected Gryffindor friend. This is very
Dracocentric, and despite longing for more Harry in this post Hogwarts tale,
I found the story fascinating and different. I loved the other characters
Duinn creates, and I enjoyed Draco's friendship with Dean, who has become a
celebrated painter. So, despite far too little Harry for far too much of it, this is
worth reading. There is a sequel entitled
Delicate Sound of

Cast your mind back to 1997 and to a little film called Addicted
To Love, in which Meg Ryan was no perky girl-next-door but a kohl-eyed

accomplice. The situation was just begging to be rewritten with Harry and
Draco in mind. A highly enjoyable rewrite of the film with a rather
sweet and naive Harry and a very in character Draco. Harry manufactures

truth of who he is. The truth has long hair and slobbers. This is a
thoroughly enjoyable story. While I'm not certain I can ever see Harry quite
as broken as he is portrayed, his characterisation has an element of
possibility in it while Draco, even as a dog, is still as nasty, spiteful,

department that inhabits it is this: the ten witches and wizards that sit in
the front, while attending to things like paperwork and other trivial
matters, are only a front to appease the few easily confused, lost
individuals that happen to wander into the department unannounced, most
usually when looking for another floor. Too much Albus and Scorpius for
my taste, why people seem to see them as interchangeable with Harry/Draco
totally perplexes me as they have nothing in common at all! I couldn't see
Harry acting anything like the bastard he's painted and Draco's morals were
decidedly flexible and down right nasty. A well written story, but not to my

story. I've never liked reading about self harm and I've never felt Harry
would ever indulge in it. His action here border on self harm and obsession
(both his and Draco's) and makes uncomfortable reading, it is however held
together very well, I just think the ending comes out of nowhere. Draco

a terrible realisation: power was relative. Harry Potter had grown into
power because of who he was, but he rarely gave it much thought, now that he
had it. A difference akin to that between light and dark, though it wasn't
clear to either of them which side was the dark side. As the war faded from
memory and time, these two lives ended up on a collision course. Anything
might happen when they meet in that strange hour on the brink of twilight.
Beautifully written and somewhat dark story, with great characterisation
