V A cry in the Dark by Daylyn. Draco Malfoy prowled the Forbidden Forest. His vampire skills were honed for the hunt. Under the bleached light of the moon, Draco saw his quarry at the edge of the lake -- Harry Potter. Short and powerful.
V A Different Kind of Pureblood by Niles Chiku. With the Oder of the Phoenix gone, Harry has no more protection with the abusive Dursleys. He expects to be murdered. What he doesn't expect is to be rescued by an equally helpless Draco Malfoy, who's been disowned for becoming a vampire! Intriguing and getting more so at each update. The sequel is A Different Kind of Hero
E A (not quite) Fairy Tale by LdDurham. Just because you don't believe in something, doesn't mean it can't contractually obligate you to a life of enslavement and sexual servitude. A rather different, amusing and somewhat tongue in cheek take on the magical creatures fic with a delightfully mouthy and fiery Harry and a rather smug, infuriating and calm Draco. The ending is highly enjoyable demonstration of Harry at his 'Slytherin' best. *g*. Recommended
A Game for Fools by TextBookDreams. Harry finds out about Draco's secret obsession with him, and is set on teasing the Slytherin to hell and back about it. But he doesn't know just how much it really hurts Draco knowing that the only one he's ever loved doesn't return his affections. But then, Harry makes yet another discovery about himself. He's not really human! Quite interesting story although both Draco and Harry appear rather out of character. The sequel is A Game for Fools 2
V A Lesson In Ownership by ifyouweremine A vein glowed blue and milky under the thin transparency of his skin, and Draco licked it. Well written dark, twisted and possessive Vampire Draco determined to get what he wants.

A Silly Veela Story by Soleara. Draco Malfoy is a veela. Veela have mates. Harry Potter is one of those mates. Not terribly willingly, of course. So Draco, being Draco, comes up with a solution that causes a rather STICKY situation, indeed. Quite amusing one shot.

A Years Temptation by Lomonaaeren or here Draco isn't best pleased to discover he's a Veela at twenty-four especially since both he and his mate, Harry Potter, are married. Harry suggests a compromise that may work, if everyone agrees. But the compromise is fragile, and stands a distinct chance of only making everything worse than before. A highly original and intriguing take on the Veela cliché Recommended
A Veela's Charm by Val-86. A blond Veela and a raven Charmer. WHO woo WHO? Very short chapters telling rather than showing the story and it therefore lacks any immediacy or excitement.
A Veela's Mate by Rune Rathatz Sometimes destiny is wrong. And sometimes hatred is the only course of action. When a Veela dies, so does it's mate. Very angsty, angry and sad.
V All You Had to do Was Ask by tigerblak Both working at the Ministry in different departments. Draco comes up with a plan to seduce Harry. Quite amusing story.
Angels and Devils by Beren. Harry defeated Voldemort: his act of heroism is famous throughout the wizarding world. He's trying to finish his final year at Hogwarts in peace, but something peculiar is happening to him, something he never would have expected. It's all rather embarrassing and making his life very complicated. Excellent story seen from Harry's pov. Recommended
At Childhood's End by mahoganyhandle When Harry comes across a fallen branch of an elder tree and accidentally bonds with it, his life changes beyond his wildest imaginings. Absolutely fascinating and highly original story. Recommended
V At the End by occasusvenustas Nicely written vampire story, but leaves more questions unanswered than answered.
V A Vampire's Love by Beren. Voldemort is dead, but he almost took The Boy Who Lived with him. Draco Malfoy has been assumed dead by the wizarding world for almost four years having been taken by a vampire, although Harry had always known where to find him, but this time Draco has found Harry. Another enjoyable and well written story by Beren. Recommended
All About Nothing by beserkergoddess. Harry's hormonal, Draco's a Veela, Hermione and Seamus have an idea, Voldemort's a loony and Ron, is just Ron. What will happen! A rather hurried and somewhat implausible beginning with somewhat a OOC Draco and Harry as well as being rather 'mushy'!
Assalto di Gioia by auroraprimavera When a mystery unfolds and Aurors are sent to investigate, Harry Potter finds himself in the middle of the unexpected. Someone he has tried to forget from his past is pushed back into his world and he suddenly finds everything changing. What happens when he learns the truth of the mystery and gives in to the truth of his own heart? Very enjoyable and well written post epilogue story with no Ginny bashing, which is a big plus point in its favour, and lovely characterisations of an older Draco, Harry and his friends. Good Read
W Bad Blood by calanthe Draco Malfoy is not the man he used to be. In fact he barely feels human at all. (you need to friend calenthe_fanfic journal to read) This is very raw, wild, bloody and absolutely fascinating. Good Read

Harry sighed and rested his head against the back of his chair, he could feel everyone's eyes on him especially the lust filled eyes of Draco Malfoy. Brief and lacking any semblance of a plot!
Bargain Benefits by harrypotterismylife Harry doesn't know what to think when Malfoy approaches him with an interesting trade-off. Very interesting and original story with Draco driving a very hard bargain. *g* Good Read
V Beautiful Broken Silence by Without Permission. harry tortures himself and Draco seems to always save him, the war's still on, vampires, veelas, heirs. I don't see Harry as suicidal, and I certainly don't see him as a cutter so I lost interest in the story very quickly.

W Between Pride and Cowardice by kcstories Draco's punishment for not killing Dumbledore was to be turned into a werewolf by Greyback. After the war, he tries to hide from the world but Severus (presumed dead) is the one who sets out to find Draco. A interesting and enjoyable read.
Bewitching Changes by Samayel. An H/D Romantic Farce dedicated to Jennavere. Involves : Veela!Draco, Mate!Harry, chocolate, and a stuffed dragon named Grr! The sequel is Bewitching Changes Part 2: Yule Never Forget This Veela!Draco and mate!Harry face the ultimate challenge after turning Hogwarts on its ear, finally defeating Voldemort...innovatively. Two fun original crack fics
W Betrothing to a Werewolf by luttie When one is a rare form of a werewolf, the other is his lover, and its a full moon, you better not coming to their apartment. especialy if the werewolf have a possessive problem and you are Blaise Zabini. Harry 'changes' seemed to fade into insignificance later in the story.

Black Truth by FlowerofBlackFire - And, with bated breath, Draco traced the silver line down one more step in the family tree. Draco Lucius Malfoy... the third full blooded Veriae in the Malfoy family... and future life mate of Harry Potter. Neither boy is rushing into anything easily. Good story, well written and worth reading - Recommended
V Black Magic by Moonlight by Beren. Harry Potter could find trouble in paradise and when Draco sends him to St Louis for a holiday it's not paradise and there's lots of trouble. With dark magic, vampires, lycanthropes and more, who else could sort it out but Anita Blake? This is an Anita Blake xover, a universe I know nothing about so I'm often at a complete loss as to what the hell is going on, but this is Beren, so I therefore expected good things and was not disappointed. *g* Recommended.
W Blind Beauty by SlashPervert Darkfic where Harry Potter wakes up naked, tied to a bed, captured and blinded by Death Eaters. He is surprised to find an ally in the form of his guard - Draco Malfoy. Together they come up with a plan to destroy Voldemort. But the personal cost is high and they then have to learn to cope with physical and emotional wounds that may never heal. Do heed the warnings on this story. I can't say I was very comfortable with it, particularly at the beginning. The sequel is Beauty's Beast
V Blood of the Lion by silver ariel (formerly AprilLily). Draco has been turned into a vampire by Voldemort and Harry has to help him deal with it. Interesting plot and story. I enjoyed the Harry/Draco relationship, but I'd like to have explored Draco's anger and anguish further. A sequel is promised. Good read
V Bloodlinked by Abremaline and here. Veela (Vampire?) Draco. Probably one of my strangest pieces yet. I have no explanation for this at all. I could blame that on the alcohol, but seriously, I don't think I'd have a summary for this one even if I were sober. Different, Good read
V Blood, sex and death by Enchanted jae A rogue vampire is terrorizing the tiny village of Stonebridge, and it's up to the Ministry's best Aurors to put an end to the gruesome killings. A very interesting and clever story written for Halloween. Do read the warnings. Good Read
V Blood Ties by Beren. Draco has a mission from Voldemort to finally kill The Boy Who Lived. He has been subject to Voldemort's ministrations to make sure he does not fail, but nothing is ever certain when Harry Potter is involved. An interesting take on the vampire theme and well written. Good read.

Bystanders by khateh Help is often found in the most unusual places and in unusual circumstances. Intriguing, very much a read between the lines type of story.
V Caged by Beren When Harry became a vampire against his consent he made a decision that changes his life completely. He went to the Dark Lord and the Dark Lord did not kill him. A very clever and intriguing story with a great ending.
V Call to me by ObsidianWolf97 A desperate vampire waits for the sweet call of his mate. Finally he can claim what is his, for eternity. A Vampire PWP!
V Capture by ravenpan Draco turned into vampire in work accident. Both still married. Interesting story that leaves a great deal unanswered.
Care to Explain by Closet Skeleton. It all started the morning Harry woke up and discovered that every last stitch of his clothing was gone. A very funny and original take on the Draco as Veela theme. Recommended
K Cat Amongst the Pigwidgeons by Ghyste. Draco receives some unsettling news about his heritage and... oh, you know the rest! Short, funny and a Good Read
Chains of Love by Deathangelgw. After the war, Veela!Draco let's down his hair...in more ways than one. His target is a new mate...but what he snags is beyond what he expected. This is rather an original and interesting read.
Changeling by Draeconin. Harry's a changeling. Short, funny and a Good read.
K Chatty Cat by jellybean88 Potions can be dangerous. Especially when they explode. Not really a creature fic, more a transformation, but it's fun.
Chimera Luck by Kalisin or here. To Harry, this year was just turning out as strange as the last. unfortunantely, he didn't realize how strange. Both Harry and Draco are changed into chimeras, creatures of immense power. The story is quite interesting, but Harry and Draco fall into each others arms a little too quickly.
V Claiming by Faithwood A vampire claims his mate. A lovely devious little fic, and the sequel is Transforming
V Clearly an Idiot by Draco. Two Aurors tracking a murderer are running out of time. The little information they have managed to scrape together has lead them to a shady Goth club, and a former enemy. Written for The Free Range Vampfic Challenge, this is written in first person with the narrator observing and commenting on the interaction between Harry and Draco. It makes for fascinating and 'hot' reading and to the pleasure of many, the initial one off became a superb and highly enjoyable four part story. Recommended.
V Close Enough by myniephoenix. Harry comes into an unknown inheritance on his birthday, so does Draco. Harry turns out to be Draco's mate, but doesn't know. Voldie is gone for over a year now, it's the beginning of seventh year, what will happen? Pretty standard fare with a few twists along the way.
V Companions in the dark by yura slash Severus sends Draco to the only place that he can be safe. Interesting read. The prequel is Bonds of Blood
V Complete Possession by Faerie Princess of Doom When our boy hero becomes what he was always destined to be, a new life descends upon the inhabitants of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. However, this change doesn't frighten anyone more than it frightens one Draco Malfoy. Interesting story.
Compulsion by xyloderm. A short ficlet about Draco as Veela. Brief and tantalising.
Corruption by Beren. Voldemort has captured Harry and for his own twisted reasons has chosen not to kill him outright. Revenge in the Dark Lord's mind requires a fate worse than death and Harry is about to find out what that is. Harry is corrupted with the essence of a number of dark creatures. This is a very good story as are the two sequels and is well worth reading. Recommended. Carvedwood has written an authorised companion piece Draco's Story: Corruption and it is both well written and similar in style to Beren's original story. Recommended
V Crimson Nectar by devilfancy It is always a lonely life amongst the nightwalker's they had told him. Lonely and forever. As always, he chose his own path just the same. Short, well written and interesting.
Dejà Vu by alexis_sd.. Can it really be him at a most unexpected of places? You really need to check out the spoiler and then reread the diary entries to make any sense of this, despite that it's rather fascinating.
Danger Zone by lunadragon After finally defeating Voldemort, Harry doesn't know what else to do with his life. Just as things are starting to settle down, someone he thought was gone forever returns, carrying a whole other burden with him. Interesting and original. Good Read
V Dark Bonds by Rose Eva. Harry and Draco are connected through a bond that made it's mark many years before. Through this bond all the feelings they have for each other inside develop and grow into a powerful passion. Features Vampire!Draco and MaybeVampire!Harry. I found this story less than satisfying as far too much was left unanswered. .
V Dark Night of the Soul by DraykaEmrys Harry vanishes during his Seventh year, and when he finally returns, it is as the Heir to a Dark Legacy. How will this affect the Wizarding World and Harry's life? Original, quite interesting, but everything happens just a little too easily and far too much is left unexplained.
W Days Go By by corvidae9 After a grievous miscommunication that leads to five years apart, Harry has difficulty keeping his life together in the face of Draco's revenge tactics. The fact that he manages to succeed only makes Draco more intent. (Veela!Draco/Werewolf!Harry) Well written, clever and darkly humourous story. Recommended
W Dearest Harry - Eileen's Story by quill lumos or here Snape is on the run, persued by everyone, hated by all. All that is except his mother and one day she calls her son to her house because she has something to tell him, a secret she has never shared. Until now ... Intriguing story.
V Deathangel by Deatheaterwannab Draco is turned into a vampire by a mysterious stanger in a dark alleyway. His name is Christopher, and Draco cannot seem to decide whether or not to trust him. He seems alright, but he has a sore spot: don't ever touch his necklace if you value your life! For a story that supposed to be H/D, 17 or so chapters later there appears to be a real absence of any Harry! Rather disjointed and bitty.
Death Angel by The Drow. draco is a death angel, and he doesn't like his first assignment. Very different premise, but the story is very, very rushed.
Decorous Draco by Arwen Applestone - Draco's a male Veela. And Harry's going crazy over him. Well worth a read. Recommended
V Death Beat by collwen (you need to join hpvamp to read this) A vampire goes into a goth club, and sees his old nemisis on the dance floor, and hungers long denied make themselves known. An interesting 'guess who is the vampire' story.
Demon Spawn by Draeconin. Demons are among us! Harry's a Demon spawn, and Draco is cursed. This is a well written story. However, Harry seemed somewhat OOC and a little too nonchalant about his 'change' and a little too in control - I'm rather fond of the Harry who kind of staggers from one mishap to another - so I feel somewhat distanced from him. It also finishes somewhat abruptly
Desperate Measures by v v c Harry may be a half-Veela, but there was no such thing as a destined mate. If somebody wanted him, they would have to prove their worthiness. And Draco's chances don't look so good when Harry guts him at the welcoming feast Harry's choices are intriguing, but I didn't particularly care for this Harry who was willing to allow so much human suffering just because he felt he was pushed into a position he shouldn't have been. I also didn't much enjoy the end where an OC featured. I read Harry/Draco for Harry and Draco rather than OCs. The story is however very original and well constructed and is worth reading.
Do You? by we want to be famous Harry doesn't go to Hogwarts for his seventh year, instead he is searching for the remaining horcruxes, ALONE! now, what would it be if a certain Malfoy kidnap him and call for a truce? what does he need to offer for an exchange? Desperately needs a beta.
V Draco Malfoy and the Fanged Casanova by Dragon no Hime Harry gets himself bitten by a vampire and the consquences are... so to say... considerably serious... A fairly simplistic Harry claiming Draco story.
V Draco Malfoy and the Secret Underground Vampire Bureacracy by lomonaaeren In which there is an obsessed Potter, conspiracy theories, bonds, hormones, far too much self-help, and, of course, a secret underground vampire bureaucracy. None of which is as important as the fact that this is not Draco Malfoy's fault. Very original and enjoyable read, I loved the bureaucracy and Harry's attitude towards it as he was helping Draco was highly amusing. Good Read

Dragon Mage by Sparks. During his sixth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Harry Potter was whisked away by a mysterious stranger named Zodiac. For over ten long years no-one knew what had become of him. And then, in the Wizarding world's darkest hour, a War Mage called Thor turns up to save the day...but he is all too familiar to the Wizards and Witches still fighting at Hogwarts...and with his complicated past, the Circle of Mages, and Draco Malfoy all getting in the way, Thor isn't sure whether he'll ever be able to simply be himself. This sort of fits in here, Harry is definitely very powerful and more than human. It's only when his powerful facade cracks a little that I get any feel of the Harry Potter of the books.
Dragonseeker Heritage by panthera1984. An ancient bloodline rears its head causing Harry quite some trouble, along with an unwanted status. Intriguing if a little convoluted at times, but really needs a spellcheck and beta. Note, the author has now gone back over the story and had all the chapters beta'd making it a much better read.
E Drow by drusillas rain. The war was winding down. In fact, as far as Harry was concerned it was over. He had done his duty, the side of the light prevailed, and now he was comfortably settling into his new life, on a plot of land in the countryside. Well written and with a promise of regular postings to look forward to. She has now decided to make it into a series. Part 1 and 2 of The Drow Chronicles are complete. Recommended

E En Edhelen Min by Vampyre Neko On July 31st 1988 Harry Potter went missing. Despite his searches, Albus Dumbledore couldn't find him and was not entirely convinced Harry was even alive. But now, in the summer of Voldemort's return he is coming back and with him he brings his Elven heritage, his desperation to escape an arranged marriage and the will to do things En Edhelen Min - The Elvish Way Interesting story.
Enchanter by crystalomnia. AU, taking place in Harry's 5th or 6th year. Harry/Draco. Kinda like the overdone Veela fics, but with an Enchanter twist. Very similar to many veela stories.
Encore by Maayan and here. As if its only purpose was to make Harry drown, the sound poured into all of his senses, enveloping him completely. Intriguing and original one shot. Good Read
V End of Days by albydarned Draco doesn't need anybody, because he has his ghosts. Draco doesn't need life, because all he wants is oblivion. Draco doesn't need Harry Potter, except that he does, and always has. An intriguing, well written story and a Good read.
V Eternity with You by winnett.. One moment with Harry was worth more than an eternity alone. I really enjoyed this story. Good read.

Well written, intriguing with a very original start and a very different, albeit inevitable, ending Good Read
V For Always by melodia04 Draco is a vampire who took Harry as payment for his uncle's debts. Needs a good beta as it has constantly changing tenses which makes it irritating to read.

With the return of three Slytherins, Harry life is turned upside down. A very different somewhat submissive and scared Draco, Harry as mate, and Ron, Hermione and Ginny bashing. Not my cup of tea I have to admit.

Gold Tinted Spectacles by Beren Harry's sixth year has come and gone, part of him has been alone because of everything he knows and everything he has seen. As his seventh year dawns he's looking for something and he's not sure what but he knows it's out there. Things start to look interesting when Draco Malfoy becomes involved. A long, involved and enjoyable love story with a strong plot and well constructed history. Recommended

Harry Potter and the Dark Secret by Xtina Harry recieves a letter during his holiday and gets more friendly with Draco Malfoy. What is the Malfoy's secret and what will Harry discover? The formatting and presentation of this story is extremely unfriendly. Everyone acts totally OOC, Draco gets as emasculated as it is possible to be, and everything happens too easily and without reasonable explanation. Suffice it to say that feminised Draco, or hermaphrodite Draco, is just not my cup of tea.
Harry Potter and the Incidental Plot by lovelyloey, A cliche veela fic! Readers have fun spotting the cliche plot elements! Overused plot but unique elaboration! HPDM slash n mpreg. There are certainly clichés, and unfortunately that's all there appears to be.

High Priced by dyson rules or here Dumbledore's portrait exposes yet another secret complication that will screw up Harry's life. He's really getting tired of those. Beautifully written, often funny story with a totally bastard Draco and an angry confused Harry. A delightful twist on the usual Veela tale. Good Read The sequel is High Priced - Malfoy Edition with the same events as seen from Draco's pov. While interesting, I got very irritated by the constant use of epithets for Harry (Auror, Gryffindor etc.) when a simple Harry, he, his, him etc would have been so less awkward.
K Hiss me, Harry by LdDurham Harry is turned into a catboy. Draco likes cats. Harry gains a cat's tail, ears and instincts. Draco takes advantage. LdDurham is one of the few authors who writes mpreg and sub!Harry that doesn't make me want to scream. Mainly because her Harry remains very male and his brave, if not reckless, Gryffindor self, while her Draco is his usual arrogant, superior self who wants to be in control, yet normally only manages to be so when Harry permits him. *g* This is a fun read. Good read

How to Charm a Dragon by Skysha-Tranqui - A twist on an old tale. Harry is part-veela, but he isn't exactly comfortable with his new heritage. Very slow, long build up with some interesting twists along the way, but also a little confusing.

Hybrid Destiny by Amy. Harry gets an unexpected inheritance and everything changes from there. Old enemies become friends and supposed friends become enemies. Mpreg, rather OCC for both Harry and Draco, evil Ron and Ginny, and otherwise somewhat too saccharine for my tastes, a sequel Hybrid Legacy Four years after he defeated Voldemort, Harry starts receiving letters from old enemies. Now he must try to keep his family safe while apprehending the villains. Somewhat too sugary for my tastes.
I, Ferret by Curiouslyfic Draco's embraced his inner Ferret. Now it's Harry's turn. Starring Veela!Draco, mpreg, an old wives' tale, and a Weddiwizard. Creative, enjoyable and amusing. Good Read
Icarus Rising by Darlo Draco - It's the final battle. Harry's on a warpath to find Voldemort, but what happens when he runs into an old school rival? Especially when said rival is no longer exactly... human? This is well worth reading. plus Easter Egg, an extra 'epilogue'. Recommended.

Indago by LdDurham A missed potion reveals a secret about Draco and Snape. They are part of a rare species and they have sniffed out Harry as one of their own. Can Harry stand up to the two violent, animalistic, and sexually charged Slytherins? I'm not fond of D/s stories and found Harry's extreme submissiveness (innate), to a well characterised bastard Draco, and, a trying to be in control of his aggression and anger, Snape, downright uncomfortable to read, particularly at the beginning. This is, however, well written and does show Harry's internal angst and subdued anger at the unfairness of the situation he find himself stuck in, plus as it progresses it evolves into a love story that somehow manages to keep pretty well in character for both Harry and Draco. Certainly worth a read, especially for the later chapters. Good read, despite my reservations. Indago: Reborn is the sequel, another well written, but slightly uncomfortable read with mpreg thrown in to the mix. Indago 3 continues the story and introduces us to Harry and Draco's children.

Quite interesting, even if I do find the idea of Draco with earrings and t shirts with band names on somewhat OOC! - now been edited and the piercings have gone! *g* Incubus Drabbles is a sort of prequel

V Lost But Found by L'Arc-En-Ciel. Harry was rescued from the Dursley's and taken to 12 Grimmauld Place, where he comes into his Vampire inheritance. Together with his mate, they will defeat the Dark Lord, only to be separated... Quite interesting, but lacks a plausible set up and the ending feels rather flat and rushed.
E Lost Roses by graylor Nothing is what it seems. Worse, no one is who they seem to be. Draco Malfoy is lost among the roses of summers past, present, and future and has to weave his own life from the briars. Draco's first POV interspaced with others people third person POV. Fascinating mix of mystery, intrigue and conspiracies with a rich use of Beltane and its history. Good Read

The sequel is To Love Again Draco must teach Harry to love again after the spell Dumbledore gave him to bring Harry back to life rendered him unable to remember anything about his relationship with Draco. Different with a clever use of canon and the epilogue.

V Not Quite Like You Imagined by canis lupus. The taste of blood always makes Harry horribly nauseous. Not a fortunate thing if one is a vampire. The summary made me laugh and the fic was funny, original and enjoyable.
Not What He Expected by sesheta66 Apparently Horcruxes have their uses, beyond the obvious. Like suppressing inner Veela tendencies. Alas, life is not exactly what Harry Potter expected it to be after the war. Short and very enjoyable story.
Oathbreaker by KC. I tend to avoid fanfic that boldly states it is Dracocentric as I get highly irritated by stories that paint Draco as whiter than white and lambaste Harry for failing to understand Draco's 'innate goodness' *g*. I needn't have worried with this one as Draco is his canon self, mean, nasty, spiteful and manipulative. He does, however show some redeeming characteristics such as immense loyalty to family and friends and courage in the face of adversity. Harry is beautifully depicted and characterised even as seen through Draco's eyes. The writing is good and well crafted and the history KC provides for the purebloods/dark wizards is fascinating. The magical creature element of the story takes time to develop, but is an important part of the story. All in all this is an excellent read. Recommended

Is this delemmia going to be too hard for the great Harry Potter to face after his Veela inheritence. Poor spelling throughout, but it's different, often intriguing and Harry's the Veela for a change. Worth a read.

Interesting concept, but I would have liked it to have been longer and touched on the ancient spell and the promise of finding his hearts desire that is mentioned in the first paragraph.

Fun and clever read.
Shattered Illusions by PixieSorrows When Harry is attacked by deatheaters, he apparates to the Forbidden Forest to get to the Hogwarts grounds. But before he can get there, he falls unconcious. And lo and behold, a veela Draco in his spirit animal form takes care of him. The start is original, although I found the constantly shifting POV, and tense, a little annoying. Also, while I have no problem with Harry falling in love with Draco as a tiger I was a tad disturbed at how this boy/beast relationship became somewhat sexualised.
Short Fuse by Ghost Boy. This takes place in Harry's 7th year. Draco Malfoy, Severus Snape... are they really what they seem? Some things in Harry's life aren't as simple as they seem, and with his powers growing, he begins to learn this in a difficult way. Sigh! another anti Dumbledore fic. I seem to be reading them almost every day now.
Sileni by Irana Potter Snape. Draco has a fantasy. Can he convince Harry to help him fulfill it? Warning, threesome, and extra warning for those, like me, who can't bear the greasy git (aka Snape) as he is part of the threesome. This PWP just squeaks in here as Harry and Draco are an established couple and Harry is a magical being!

Siren's Song by Crazy Freaked Out Lollipop Draco has faery blood in him, but he's not a Veela. Draco is a Siren, a faery being with the ability to have great power in his voice and through all music. When Draco's sister helps him to escape from their father, Harry finds himself drawn to Draco. Different, but Draco appears incredibly out of character and the OCs are a large part of the story.
W Silver and Gold by romaine A small, torn piece of parchment reached Harry's hands six months before the end of the war. All it said was, "Save the Wolf." The day after the defeat of Voldemort, Harry makes good on his promise to the wizard who sent the note. Enjoyable story Good Read

W Snakes and Ladders by Alvira. Sixteen years after he last clapped eyes on the Boy Who Lived To Be A Thorn In Draco Malfoy's Side, Draco is filling Snape's old shoes with aplomb. History, though, has a nasty habit of repeating itself. Draco has his comfortable existance turned topsy-turvy with the appearance at Hogwarts of Harry's son, who turns out to be able disrupt Draco's life with as much competency as his father. This is a slight cheat as it is Wystan (Harry's son) who is the werewolf, but this story is too good to miss. I loved Wystan and thoroughly enjoyed his encounters with Draco, while the Harry/Draco episodes were wonderfully in character and full of so much UST it was great. Highly enjoyable story with a great ending. Recommended
V Stay with Me by murray the leprechaun. Harry invokes an ancient Vampire spell on Draco on the ride to school, can the boys make it or will Harry's former master ruin everything? Short chapters, out of character Draco and Harry, too long (and TMI) author's notes plus song verses!

Survival of the Species by romaine Draco approaches Harry on the 9¾ platform, after their sons have boarded the Hogwarts Express, and invites him over for tea. The discussion they have leads them on an adventure that neither could have expected. HPDH compliant. Really interesting, original and well written story. Recommended

The Black Veela by Aandune In two months, Draco Malfoy will come of age. What happens up to that time confuses him more and more each day. And what does Harry Potter have to do with it? Despite the fact that this is a well thought out and written AU, I just didn't engage with this Harry or Draco and really couldn't get interested in the Veela culture etc.
K The Cat Crept In And Out Again by megyal. A kitty!Harry fic. Rather clever and enjoyable.
The Challenge of being a Veela's mate by triola Harry wakes up looking like a girl, Draco is possessive, yet oddly cuddly, Hermione squeals like the girl she is, and Pansy is rather likeable. A tale of a Veela and his mate. Or was it a mate and his Veela? This beginning was really funny and rather clever, plus the use of Harry's voice in first person was highly original, and even if I think it got a little twee by the end, it's still a Good read.
W The Change by enchanted jae Harry places his trust in Draco's love for him. A short, enjoyable Halloween quickie.
The Depths of Winter by Cosmic. Four years after getting out of Hogwarts, Harry lives alone in the Muggle world. He has turned his back on the magical world - until one day, when Draco Malfoy gets into a car crash before Harry's eyes and ends up paralysed in a wheelchair. The fact that Draco is a part Veela is a very small, but important, part of this long and angsty story. Good read

Which is just fine with Draco because he does not want or need a mate. Right? I quite enjoyed this, possibly because it's been well thought out and not rushed..
V The Fog of War by lusiology Things are not what they seem on either side of the war. Sometimes self interest can save the day. Intriguing fic written for a fic exchange, more is promised.
V The Game Gods Play by Servalan Harry becomes a vampire, and it's the best/worst thing that could have happened. With conflicting loyalties and a stiff upper lip, he's the only one who knows he's been caught at the crossroads with his old life pulling one direction while his new life pulls the other. Intriguing and original.
The Half Veela and the Saviour by EternalDarkness24 Draco made a bet with his friends to seduce Harry Potter and make him say 'I love you,' to Draco in three months time. But, Draco has fallen in love with Harry Potter and discovered that he's a half-veela on the night he was to propose to Harry. The problem? Harry Potter has just found out about the bet. Short and could have been made into a longer novel, but quite interesting.
W The Howling by shawn-anne Pain. It marked him like a brand. Spread through his body like poison and flared in his bones like fire. Taut, tense and sexy read. Good read

The Last of all Illusions by elfflame Prompt: Draco is in Azkaban until his trial/serving a short sentence. While the Dementors are no longer there, the residue of their magic is thick enough to stir dormant genes in Draco. The desperation and unhappiness that the Dementors' residue invoke not only trigger a trait to life, in its attempt to save its human the creature takes over the control from its human. When out of Azkaban, the human manages to gain control back, but the creature is now there, demanding the fulfilling of its needs. Well written, original and interesting.
V The Last Valkier by Spiffy Squigglemink-mantra III Harry has a happy life with his fiancee, until an ancient blonde Valkier decides he needs to carry on his bloodline. Different beginning, but very AU and totally OCC and the Harry depicted might just as well be a woman.

A very interesting female OC, and a great way of getting Draco and Harry to have sex! That being said, it doesn't really belong here as the Vampire is the OC, but what the heck. *g* Good read
